The National HBCU/MI Conference
December 14-15, 2006

Dear conference attendee,

Thank you for coming to New Orleans for the National HBCU/MI Conference sponsored by the Army and Navy Offices of Small Business Programs! We had two main goals for this conference, the first of which was to inform HBCU and MI representatives of the opportunities available to them in research and development for the federal government. Judging from the enthusiastic response to our expert panelists’ presentations, the first goal was met and exceeded. Our most sincere thanks go out to all those speakers who came to New Orleans to assist our attendees. The second goal was to make professional connections between Federal agencies and the academic research institutions that can provide much-needed research experience and technical expertise. As you know, just having the chance to talk to your fellow attendees can be as fruitful as the sessions themselves.

To build on the foundation set at this year’s conference, we have launched this informational website for our attendees. Here you will find speakers’ biographies, photos, and presentations, along with other general information about the conference. A list of conference attendees and their contact information is also available, just in case you lost a business card. Finally, an electronic copy of the conference evaluation form is available for those attendees who did not have the opportunity to drop off a handwritten copy on-site. We ask that you take a moment to fill out the form; your feedback will help us during the planning stages of our next conference.

We hope that the post-conference website proves to be a valuable resource in your efforts to expand your professional network. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact the conference information hotline at (703) 695-3220 or at info@hbcumiconference.com. Thanks again for coming to New Orleans and making the National HBCU/MI Conference a success!
